Friday Five 09/09/16
Each week we pick five things we're feeling on the interwebz. We hope you might find them interesting too.
This week: 909 Day, Ivan Smagghe RA Exchange, fabric's Cameron Leslie speaks, Dimensions playlist and stop looking, start dancing...
Happy 909 Day
It's 9th September today (09/09) and that date is apparently the tenious jump-off point for Roland to announce the addition of the classic drum machine to their AIRA series. At the time of publishing nothing has materialised on the interwebz so we thought we'd share this FACT video of Mumdance and his TR-909 from a few years ago.

fabric closed but the fight continues
fabric co-founder and director Cameron Leslie was interviewed earlier this week on LBC Radio and eloquently outlines the challenges facing fabric, the wider nighttime economy and UK drugs legislation and enforcement as a whole. Listen below.

And if you'd rather focus on the music then some bold spark has put each and every fabric mix CD on YouTube:

Ivan Smagghe speaks
The Parisian producer recounts his varied 20+ year career in the latest RA Exchange. Probably one of the best exchanges to date, and there's been some good ones...

Just dance
Thump say what we've all been thinking for years. Boiler Room Syndrome perhaps?
Dimensions 2016
We were lucky enough to be an official sounds partner for Dimensions 2016 as part of their Knowledge Arena programme. Here you can check out - and listen to - one of the most comprehensive festival reviews we've ever seen. Shout out to Stamp The Wax for the words and, more importantly, the 200-strong YouTube playlist of tracks heard at the festival last month. Wrap your ears around it below.
